October Poster Series
October marked the start of my October Poster Series — a personal project where I challenge myself to design one poster every day throughout the month. Each piece begins with whatever comes to mind, no rules or themes, just an open space to explore new ideas and experiment freely.
The goal is simple:
- Carve out time each day for creativity
- Push myself to try new techniques
- Rediscover the joy of making something just for the sake of creating
Poster 08: Seeing Stars 02
Poster eight, I started with another photo I took on my camera, a close-up of my cat, Nova. I zoomed in to focus just on her eye, using the image as a way to experiment with lighting, contrast, and texture. I created a star-like shape above her eye and played with light and blur to give the piece a soft, surreal quality. This one was another about image manipulation, exploring composition and mood rather than focusing on type or color.

Poster 09: Pancake Breakfast
Poster nine, we had pancakes for breakfast on a Sunday and I took pictures of the butter melting on the pancake over time. I knew I wanted to take all the images and put them onto a poster together.

Poster 10: Bad Dog
Poster ten. My sister sent me a picture of her puppy dog winking and this was a time he got into something he shouldn't have, I thought it would make for a funny poster about making bad decisions.

Poster 11: Eye
Poster eleven, I wanted to experiment with motion blur and cutting out a piece of the image while leaving it in color. So I took a picture of myself and edited the background and cut out my eye and messed with it until I was happy with the outcome.

Poster 12: Gradient Winn
Poster twelve, I just wanted to cut out an image and play with both motion blur and color gradient. So I took this picture of Winn and played with the background and motion until Iwas happy.

Poster 13: Sunday Brunch
Poster thirteen, I wanted to keep playing with that pancake image and text, so I experimented with both of those things again for another Sunday Brunch poster.

Poster 14: See You Again
Poster fourteen, I saw a poster that played with text like this and I thought I would do it for the song See You Again and pair it with an image in the middle.
